Dhol, Synthetic and Goatskin Heads
Product Description
A large, wood, double-headed, barrel drum from the Punjab region of northern India and eastern Pakistan. Although traditionally rope-tuned, they are now often bolt-tuned. The drum is played horizontally while slung from the neck of the player. The lower-pitched, or bass, head is played with a curved stick and the higher pitched head is generally played with a cane switch.
