The Gretsch USA G-4000 Hammered Antique Copper snares are made with a 100% copper. The 1.1mm brass shell is rolled, and then welded with a clean, durable seam. The shell is then uniformly hammered over the entire surface. The combination of copper material and hammered texture provide for a fundamentally dark and dry tone. The shell has a 40-degree bearing edge and is finished in an antiqued patina.

Additional features include Lightning throw-off, top and bottom die-cast hoops, 'Snap-In' key holder, classic Gretsch Drop-G octagon badge, Permatone coated top with underside dot /clear bottom heads and 42-Strand snare wire (20-strands on 13" snare).
