The Mapex M Birch Drumset employs 6-ply, 7.2mm drum shells (5 birch plies, one exterior maple ply) to deliver an incredible high-end attack, narrower midrange, and lots of bottom-end punch. The shells feature a maple veneer finished with 8 hand-applied coats of transparent lacquer and matching lacquered bass drum hoops. This birch drum kit is sure to shimmer under the lights. The Isolated Tom System protects the shell's integrity and allows the toms to vibrate freely, ensuring maximum projection and resonance. OS Cymbal Accentuators create enhanced cymbal sustain, and the 500 Series double-braced Performing Artist hardware means your components stay in place, no matter how hard you play. Improvements for 2007 include a boom stand with a retractable tilter and a footboard stabilizer for the bass drum pedal. Remo heads mean you're ready to go straight out of the box.
