Remo Clear Pinstripe heads are made with 2-ply, 7-mil Mylar featuring a measured layer of a ring reducing agent applied between them at the outer edge of their trademark stripe to dampen high frequency overtones resulting in a warm, resonant tone. They have a low pitched sound with moderate attack and response characteristics, along with a quick decay, making them ideal heads for the "fat" sounds of Pop, Rock and R-and-B.
Remo Coated Powerstroke 3 drum heads feature a thin underlay at the outer edge of the head to subtly dampen high frequency overtones. This creates a near-perfect balance of response and tone control that has quickly made Powerstroke 3 one of Remo's most preferred drumheads.
